Job Title: Product Technologist

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Sherborne

Salary: Competitive, with excellent benefits

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with flexitime opportunities

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Technologist to join our team at Smart Recruitment Solutions Yeovil. As a Product Technologist, you will play a key role in providing technical support and development within our existing business, as well as assisting with future technical projects.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure Compliance: Provide direction and support to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Product Testing: Coordinate regular testing of products to identify and address faults, providing evaluations to improve their quality.
  • Process Development: Develop and update technological processes for production, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain up-to-date technical documentation, including records and reports.
  • Quality Control: Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to parameters and specifications, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Research and Development: Conduct research and development work in laboratories and production facilities, exploring new technologies and innovations.
  • Record Keeping: Utilise company manufacturing systems to maintain accurate written and electronic records.
Requirements:
  • Education: Educated to degree level in Chemistry or Materials Science.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrable problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • IT Skills: Good understanding of IT systems and excellent Excel skills.
