Job Title: Food and Beverage Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our team. As a Food and Beverage Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food and beverage outlets, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and a high-quality dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations of all food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, lounges, room service, and banquets.
  • Ensure smooth service flow, timely order delivery, and high-quality guest experience.
  • Assist in coordination of large events, private dining, and special functions.
  • Manage restaurant bookings, ensuring that all customers experience five-star service.
  • Monitor team schedules and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing food and beverage team to deliver superior guest experiences.
  • Conduct on-the-job training for the team, leading by example.
  • Ensure food and beverage team is presentable at all times, adhering to grooming and uniform standards.
  • Assist in the onboarding of new team members.
  • Welcome guests with genuine hospitality and anticipate their needs, ensuring outstanding dining experiences.
  • Build and maintain strong guest relationships, ensuring repeat business and satisfaction.
  • Handle guests' inquiries and complaints with professionalism, resolving issues promptly and effectively.
  • Answer and manage incoming calls, emails, and reservations, ensuring all communication is handled professionally and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP standards).
  • Monitor cleanliness and proper maintenance of all food and beverage areas, equipment, and utensils.
  • Ensure service standards align with the hotel's brand requirements and exceed guest expectations.
  • Assist in managing inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.
  • Oversee accurate billing, cash handling, and payment procedures.
  • Assist with monthly inventory checks and stock control.
  • Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure seamless communication and timely service.
  • Coordinate with other departments, i.e., housekeeping, front office, for special requests, events, and guest needs.
  • Participate in regular meetings with management to discuss operations, staff, and guest feedback.
  • Respond to emergency situations calmly and efficiently, following hotel protocols.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills and guest-oriented mindset.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills, with a focus on creating memorable experiences.
  • In-depth knowledge of food and beverage service, wine pairings, and menu offerings.
  • Familiarity with the Health and Safety regulations in food and beverage service (HACCP).
  • Proficiency in POS systems.
  • Collaborative mindset to work closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.

Working Conditions

  • Flexibility with work schedules, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • Physical demands such as being on the feet for long periods of time and manual handling.

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in food and beverage with at least 1 year in a supervisory role in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment.

Eligibility

Candidates must be authorized to live and work in the UK. Currently, visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
