Job Title: Finance Business Partner

Are you a finance professional looking for a challenging role that will utilize your skills and experience? We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our team at Accountable Recruitment.

About the Role:

The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for providing financial expertise and support to the operational and sales directors. This will involve tracking and reporting daily margin performance, delivering sharp analysis on product and promo performance, and scenario planning for price and margin changes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the Commercial Finance function, working directly with the operational and sales directors
  • Track and report daily margin performance vs budget at product group level, with weekly performance analysis
  • Deliver sharp, insightful analysis on product and promo performance to drive margin growth, and challenge when needed
  • Scenario plan for price and margin changes, forecasting their impact on sales and margin
  • Partner with category managers to build budgets and forecasts for sales, margin, and commercial income
  • Stay ahead of margin forecasts by understanding how current trading impacts budgets
  • Support the trading team in supplier negotiations, analysing profitability and the impact of cost changes
  • Build sales and cost models
  • Review and challenge commercial proposals, highlighting risks and opportunities
  • Act as the go-to between teams, flagging supplier funding risks and commercial income opportunities
Requirements:
  • Experience in a fast-paced, commercial environment
  • Sharp commercial awareness and strong numeracy skills - you'll love to dig into the details and challenge the status quo
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and deliver financial results
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Qualified or qualified by experience
