Job Description

  • Implement and monitor anti-money laundering (AML) policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Analyse and review client data for AML risks, identifying potential threats and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of suspicious activity, collaborating with internal stakeholders to gather information and evidence.
  • Prepare and submit suspicious activity reports to regulatory bodies, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Assist in compliance audits, providing expert knowledge and support to ensure seamless processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with AML regulations and industry trends, applying this knowledge to inform risk management strategies.
  • Participate in compliance training sessions, enhancing skills and knowledge to stay ahead of regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals, fostering a culture of open communication and cooperation.

The Successful Applicant

A successful AML Analyst should possess:

  • An undergraduate degree in a related field, such as finance, accounting, or law.
  • Knowledge of AML regulations and compliance procedures, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts.
  • Proficiency in using financial software, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • A strong interest in the financial services industry, with a passion for risk management and compliance.
