Addiction Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Addiction Support Specialist to join our Addictions and Mental Health Service at Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with individuals and whānau to develop the skills, knowledge, and strategies needed for transformative change.
Key Responsibilities:- Conducting thorough assessments and creating personalized treatment plans
- Leading individual and group counselling sessions, workshops, and educational programmes
- Facilitating group therapy in a safe, collaborative space
- Coordinating with community and government services for additional support
- Organising educational wananga on alcohol and drug abuse
- Supporting early intervention and cultural practices that promote wellness
- Registration with DAPAANZ or similar clinical body
- Experience delivering therapeutic interventions for addiction
- Proficiency in report writing and case management
- Experience working with whānau
- A competitive salary of $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, commensurate with experience
