Addictions Counsellor

We are a whānau-focused, Iwi mandated, kaupapa Māori health and social services provider. Our mission is to provide holistic support to individuals and their whānau.

We seek an experienced professional to join our team as an Addictions Counsellor. The successful candidate will conduct thorough assessments, develop personalised treatment plans, and facilitate group therapy sessions.

• Conducting thorough alcohol and drug assessments to identify client needs
• Developing and implementing effective treatment plans tailored to individual client requirements
• Facilitating safe and collaborative group therapy sessions to promote transformative change
• Collaborating with community and government services to provide additional support to clients
• Designing and delivering educational programmes on alcohol and drug abuse

• Registration with DAPAANZ or similar clinical body
• Proven experience in delivering therapeutic interventions for addiction
• Strong proficiency in report writing and case management
• Experience working with whānau and understanding of kaupapa Māori principles
