About the Role

We are working with a leading main contractor to employ an experienced SHE Advisor with a Utilities background to drive health, safety, environmental, and quality responsibilities across the Northumbrian Water Framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake periodic risk assessments and implement more robust procedures when necessary.
  • Provide specialist SHEQ advice to colleagues and subcontractors.
  • Ensure contracts are compliant and positive behaviours are embedded in the day-to-day works of operational teams.
  • Act as a single point of contact for advice and expertise on Health & Safety matters to project teams.
  • Manage accident/incident investigations and communicate learning points to prevent re-occurrence.
Requirements
  • Experience in the Civil Engineering sector, ideally with Water.
  • Experience in a SHEQ Advisor or similar position previously.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and subcontractors.
  • NEBOSH Diploma (desirable).
  • IOSH.
