Job Summary

Collinson is a global, privately-owned company dedicated to helping the world to travel with ease and confidence. We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager to drive the success of our central data platform. The successful candidate will be accountable for the overall success and performance of the product, focusing on data management to engage with clients and ensure the delivery of data-related requests through our owned data platform.



About the Role

As a Technical Product Manager, you will play a critical part in building strong relationships with our clients and ensuring seamless communication between them and the data team. You will be responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle, including gathering and prioritising product and customer requirements, ensuring your priorities are in alignment with other product initiatives that rely on the product you own, and working with the Lead Data Engineer to support the technical growth of the data platform.



Responsibilities

- Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for clients in regard to data management and ensure client satisfaction through effective communication and delivery of requests.



Key Responsibilities

- Relationship Management:



- Cost Management: Be accountable for the cost-effectiveness of the data platform, ensuring that resources are used optimally to meet client needs.



- Delivery Management: Ensure the timely delivery of requests from clients and the quality of the output.



- Technical Growth Support: Work closely with the Lead Data Engineer to support the technical growth of the data platform, including the implementation of new technologies and solutions.



- Communication Management: Ensure a seamless flow of communication between clients and the data team and act as a bridge between technical and business-focused groups.



- Execution: Be accountable for the successful execution of the data management strategy, including the effective delivery of products and services to clients.



Requirements

- Strong experience in client engagement and relationship management, with excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.



- Strong technical background, with an understanding of data management and data-related technologies, and the ability to drive engineering and architecture discussions.



- Project management experience with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.



- The ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and deliver high-quality solutions.



- A problem-solving mindset, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and to direct others' work.



- Comfortable working with people at all levels in an organization and the ability to work at pace and tackle project challenges in a collegiate, collaborative way.



- Experience interpreting feedback from various stakeholders and evaluating the performance of services, platform, or processes.
