The Senior Payroll Accountant is a key member of the Compassus team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of payroll processing. This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles and the ability to analyze complex data sets.
Key Responsibilities- Review and prepare transactions for entry, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Utilize Workday Financials to extract and analyze payroll data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the Payroll team to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely processing.
- Prepare detailed general ledger account reconciliations, researching and reporting discrepancies.
- Support internal and external audits related to payroll transactions and processes.
- Interpret and communicate financial reports and results to management.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting required.
- Minimum of three years of related experience, with a focus on payroll and/or benefit accounting.
- Experience with Workday Financial and/or Workday Payroll highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
