Job Title: Audit & Accounts Manager

We are seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Manager to join our team in Cleckheaton. As a key member of our practice, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, overseeing audits from planning to completion, and providing strategic advice to improve client financial systems and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied portfolio of clients, overseeing audits from planning to completion
  • Lead audit meetings, advise clients on statutory financial requirements, and discuss audit findings
  • Provide insightful recommendations to improve client financial systems and controls
  • Prepare and review corporation tax computations and quarterly management accounts
  • Review non-audit engagements, such as audit exemption accounts
  • Support partners in the operational management and growth of the firm
  • Train and develop junior staff, manage workflow, and provide ongoing support

Requirements:

  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and key disclosure requirements
  • Experience managing a portfolio of clients with turnovers up to c.£35m
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to oversee audit processes from start to finish and mentor junior staff
  • Expertise in a range of accountancy software, including Sage 50 and Xero
  • The ability to provide clients with strategic advice and improvements for their financial systems and internal controls
