About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Art Therapist to join our team at a thriving SEND school in Ingatestone. As a key member of our staff, you will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to provide individualized support and promote emotional well-being.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with special educational needs and be skilled in using art therapy techniques to inspire confidence and engagement. You will be responsible for creating a calm, purposeful, and supportive environment tailored to individual education and emotional needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide 1:1 support to pupils with complex needs, ASD, SEMH, and behavioural difficulties.
  2. Use your creative flair to inspire confidence, promote engagement, and bring joy to their learning journey.
  3. Foster a supportive environment that promotes emotional well-being and personal growth.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £32,000 per annum, plus benefits including access to our NQT/ECT Support Network and mentoring, opportunities for professional development through CPD and free webinars, and a fun candidate social events.

Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Art therapy qualification or relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
