Job Description

Drive European Quality Support and Product Development strategy, leveraging extensive experience in garment technology and product development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Develop: Drive the European Quality Support and Product Development strategy, ensuring our products meet customer expectations.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with Buyers and Buying Managers to support business growth and quality improvements.
  • Innovate: Identify opportunities to enhance product quality and develop strategies to support new markets and vendors.
  • Sustainability: Partner with our Sustainability Manager to achieve our sustainability goals in production, packaging, and labelling.
  • Train and Support: Develop and deliver training modules for new buyers and team members.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Garment Technologist or Product Developer within Womenswear, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabric testing standards, and sustainable practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills and ability to act confidently and professionally when working with partners and stakeholders at all levels within the organisation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
  • Experience in managing a team would be advantageous.
  • Highly skilled in evaluating product for fit, quality and performance and in depth knowledge of garment construction and pattern cutting techniques.
  • Thorough knowledge of garment production and finishing systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of fabric testing standards and care labelling.
  • Technical knowledge of fabric, yarn and colour specifications.
  • Thorough understanding of Sustainable accreditations, certifications and labelling relating to garments, fabrics and finishing.
  • Ability to risk assess product where appropriate.
