The Team

Montgomery Advisory's Structured Finance & Derivatives team is recognised for its expertise in securitisation, structured products, and derivatives law. Operating from the London office, the team handles a variety of complex transactions across multiple asset classes, including CLO/CDO vehicles and credit-linked notes. Known for their innovative solutions, they provide strategic legal counsel on regulatory and tax considerations, ensuring that clients navigate the complexities of structured finance with confidence.

Their collaborative approach allows them to effectively address the diverse needs of their clients, leveraging extensive experience to manage high-value transactions and adapt to the evolving financial landscape.

The Role

In this role, the successful candidate will collaborate with financial institutions and investment managers, delivering expert advice on sophisticated securitisation frameworks and customised financial solutions. Responsibilities will include overseeing regulatory compliance, managing TRS-linked funding arrangements, and coordinating structured repackaging initiatives. This position offers considerable client engagement and the chance to contribute to strategic financial projects.

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 2-4 PQE in a distinguished structured finance or derivatives practice. The successful applicant should demonstrate:

  • Strong communication skills to convey complex legal concepts clearly
  • A proactive approach to client service and relationship management
  • The capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Experience with international transactions and a solid understanding of cross-border regulations
  • Familiarity with the regulatory landscape surrounding structured finance products

Candidates MUST be a qualified solicitor, ideally qualified in England & Wales or a Commonwealth jurisdiction.
