Job Title: Adult Community Specialist Speech Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea. As a Band 6 Speech Therapist, you will play a key role in supporting children and young people with complex communication needs and dysphagia.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of typical child development, speech, language, and communication milestones. They will also have a good working knowledge of assessments and interventions for school-aged children with speech, language, and communication needs.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing specialist assessment, diagnosis, and intervention to children and young people with complex communication needs and dysphagia.
  • Providing advice to others regarding the management and care of children with communication difficulties.
  • Providing day-to-day supervision and peer review support to less experienced colleagues and students.
  • Running in-service training for school and other staff.
