About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heritage Asset Safety Specialist to join our team at Brighton & Hove City Council.

The successful candidate will work as part of the Royal Pavilion Garden project team to collectively restore and improve access to this world-renowned heritage garden, removing it from the Heritage At Risk Register.

  • Develop and implement creative and innovative solutions to address antisocial behaviour and reduce its impact on the garden and improve public safety.
  • Engage with local communities and businesses to understand issues related to antisocial behaviour and the night-time economy and its impact on the heritage garden.
Key Responsibilities
  • Work with partners and stakeholders to develop a strategic action plan to address and reduce the impact of antisocial behaviour and the night-time economy on the garden, aligned with project funding terms and conditions.
  • Motivate and lead the project team to achieve their goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Degree in a relevant field, such as urban planning, community development, or environmental conservation.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing strategies to address antisocial behaviour and improve public safety.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £28,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
