Job Summary:
KPIT Technologies GmbH seeks a skilled Automotive Functional Safety Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the safety of our automotive systems by implementing and maintaining functional safety standards.

About the Role:
As an Automotive Functional Safety Specialist at KPIT Technologies GmbH, your primary responsibility will be to plan, coordinate, and track all ISO 26262 functional safety activities in various project phases. You will work closely with the project team members to create safety concepts, evaluate functional safety validation, and communicate functional safety topics to stakeholders. Additionally, you will align on planning for functional safety activities at sub-system levels and recommend necessary solutions to meet safety requirements.

Requirements:
This position requires a major in Computer Engineering, Electrical-Electronics, Electronics Telecommunication, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field. You should have several years of professional experience in automotive software development or similar areas. Awareness of Functional Safety Standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 61508) and Product Liability is essential. Technical know-how on automotive systems, including chassis systems control and embedded systems, is also required. Design, coding, and validation experience in the field of automotive systems, particularly in safety monitoring, is desirable. You must be able to foresee and manage risks and risk management, possess self-motivation, good problem-solving skills, and strong communication skills in English. The ability to handle requirements beyond software is also necessary.

Salary:
The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
