Join Our Team as a Children's Residential Support Worker

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable children and young people.

About the Role

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about creating positive outcomes for children and young people. As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing emotional and practical support to young people, promoting their independence and wellbeing, and ensuring their safety and welfare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children and young people in all day-to-day activities and interests
  • Promote the young person's independence and wellbeing
  • Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips with the children
  • Attend weekend and evening activities to support the children and young people in their interests
  • Protect the children and young people from any risks to their health and welfare
  • Provide emotional and practical support to the young people within your home
  • Ensure the safety of young people by maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of care plans and guidelines
  • Support, overcome, and learn to minimize incidents when behavior can be challenging
Requirements
  • A desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
  • Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
  • At least 6 months' experience of working with children or within a similar Social Care setting
  • Valid UK Driving Licence
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or are willing to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK
