Nuclear Safety Engineer Wanted

Atomic Weapons Establishment is seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Safety Engineer to join its team. As a key member of the Warhead Engineering Surety Group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe design and operation of our warheads.

Your main responsibilities will include advising on safety-related research experiments or topics, teaching nuclear product safety, and developing electronic Safety Case tools (eSC). You will also undertake nuclear safety assessments, safety management activities, and product design safety. We recognize that prior experience in this role might be challenging, so we can provide support for a postgraduate level education course up to and including an MSc in Defence Nuclear Safety (Part-time).

We offer a competitive salary of £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes a market-leading contributory pension scheme, flexible working requests, and opportunities for professional career development.
