About the Role

We are seeking an experienced clinical pharmacist to lead our paediatric pharmacy services. As a key member of our team, you will provide pharmaceutical care to patients under the PICU service and be part of the multidisciplinary team at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.

The successful candidate will have extensive post-registration clinical pharmacy experience and a strong working knowledge of UK hospital pharmacy. They will also be able to demonstrate sound clinical pharmacy methods and evidence of continued professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a clinical pharmacy service to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.
  • Lead and train clinical pharmacists working within paediatric surgery wards and work closely with the surgical team on improvement, training, and governance.
  • Support and train junior staff as they develop their knowledge and skills.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A postgraduate clinical diploma in pharmacy or equivalent qualification.
  • Membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council for Pharmacists.
  • Experience of working with electronic prescribing and critical care electronic monitoring systems.
  • Evidence of commitment to continued improvement of patient experience and ability to use judgment to challenge and influence prescribing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and negotiation skills.
