About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in physical science to develop and maintain operational cloud-based air quality forecasting systems for clients from the public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  1. System Development: Design, build, and optimize cloud-based air quality forecasting systems as part of a team, integrating data from multiple sources and processing it using proprietary models.
  2. Cloud Platform Experience: Develop on cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform, with expertise in API development, Cloud Run Functions (Python), Cloud SQL databases, and deploying containerized applications.
  3. GIS and Web Development: Have experience in GIS development, including GeoServer, and web development, including PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A graduate-level or higher background in physical science, such as maths, physics, engineering, computer science, chemistry, or meteorology.
  • Experience with coding in Python and proficiency in relevant programming languages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn new systems and processes.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
