Our client, a London-based non-profit organisation, is seeking a skilled Maintenance and Facilities Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of the organisation's premises to a high standard.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years' experience in managing a team and five years' facilities experience. A maintenance-related qualification is essential, whether academic or vocational, and a full UK driving license with access to a personal vehicle is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and delegate maintenance and improvement works across all premises as needed.
  • Conduct regular maintenance audits of all premises and their grounds.
  • Maintain accurate records of downtime, audits, and unplanned maintenance.
  • Identify areas for improvement and develop business cases for implementation.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and review their performance.
  • Manage the Maintenance and Facilities team, including HR and employee relations duties.
  • Be on call to respond to emergencies on a rotational basis.
  • Carry out risk assessments and implement effective controls.
