Job Description

Procurement Heads is delighted to be partnering with a leading luxury leisure brand to hire a Head of Procurement. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned procurement professional to join our team and drive the development and implementation of a comprehensive procurement strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Strategy Development: Develop and implement a procurement strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Supply Chain Management: Manage the effective delivery of the full procurement lifecycle, covering category planning, sourcing, supplier and contract management.
  • Procurement Team Management: Line manage a team of procurement professionals, setting objectives, conducting performance reviews, and acting as a point of escalation.
  • Performance Measurement and Management: Set and track key performance indicators for the procurement function, identify areas for improvement, and implement improvement plans.

Key Competencies:

  • Leadership: Ability to develop and communicate a procurement strategy, strong influencing skills, and ability to lead a team with varied backgrounds and skill sets.
  • Procurement and Supply Chain Transformation: Experience of implementing new processes and ways of working within a large or complex organization.
  • Project Management: Experience in successfully leading teams to deliver complex projects and understanding of relevant project management methodologies.
  • Planning and Organizational Skills: Ability to take a long-term view and build the capability of a complex organization, and to combine this with the management of day-to-day decisions required to meet the organization's needs.
  • Communication: Excellent skills in developing and delivering verbal and written communications.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate with business units and functional partners, including IT, Finance, HR, Marketing, and Legal.
  • Expertise and Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of procurement and supply chain processes, tools, and best practices.
