Exciting Opportunity for Cancer Support Professionals at Hampshire Hospitals NHS

We are seeking two experienced Cancer Support Workers to join our team in the Surgical Division, specifically in Urology and Colorectal. As a Cancer Support Worker, you will work alongside Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialists to register and monitor patients through our electronic patient record system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support patients in self-managing their cancer treatment follow-up
  • Work independently within tumour-specific groups under guidance

Main Accountabilities

Hampshire Hospitals NHS provides medical and surgical services to a large population in the region. We are leaders in treating rare abdominal and colorectal cancers. As a Cancer Support Worker, you will contribute to outstanding patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

Training and Qualifications

  • GCSE English Language and Mathematics required
  • Learning and development courses evidence
  • NVQ level 4 desirable

Experience and Knowledge

  • Understanding of the healthcare environment
  • Strong communication and data management skills
  • Experience in a cancer setting desirable
