We're committed to delivering an efficient and renewable transmission network, and our team is key to achieving this goal. As a Quantity Surveyor Industrial Placement, you'll be part of a dynamic team that's responsible for various tasks related to project validation and cost management.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting tender activities using benchmark data and eHub cost estimates
  • Supporting the audit of Subcontractors' works on site against Valuations/Payment Certificates
  • Supporting Invoice reconciliation
  • Overseeing the validation of Contractor's forecast
  • Assisting in contractual claims and the Early Warning/Compensation Event process

This 12-month Industrial Placement offers you the opportunity to kickstart your career within the energy sector and discover your unique superpower. You'll receive a combination of in-person and virtual training sessions led by our development team, as well as access to digital learning tools to help further enhance your skills.

What You'll Need to Apply

To be eligible for this role, you'll need to be in your penultimate year at University, on track to achieve a minimum 2:2 in a Quantity Surveying degree discipline. You'll also need to commit to a 12-month Industrial Placement that will begin in June 2025 and be eager to apply your knowledge in a real-world setting.

You'll need flexibility to travel within the role and throughout your placement as required. Due to the amount of travel to our site locations, you'll need to have a valid full UK Driving License and access to a vehicle for your time on programme (business insurance will be required).
