Job Summary
FleetPride is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Truck Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine vehicles to determine the extent of damage or malfunction(s) and provide customers with solutions for preventative maintenance.
- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and filter replacements.
- Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes, suspension systems, electrical systems, and other components.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex issues with fuel tanks, fifth wheels, trailer hitches, and other equipment.
- Utilize machinery to repair or fabricate driveshafts and perform basic welding.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and service truck.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Diesel Technology certificate/degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience with repairing class 7 & 8 trucks and trailers.
- Valid driver's license with good driving record required.
- Class A CDL preferred.
Working Conditions
Exposure to Inside/Outside Conditions, Extreme Temperatures, Humid Conditions, Chemical Hazards, Vibration, Equipment Noise, and Work in enclosed and confined spaces.
