We are seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join our team at Three Bridges Recruitment. As a Payroll Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our external payroll provider
- Collaborate with the Finance department to deliver monthly and annual payroll reports and analyses
- Ensure payroll records are accurately maintained and promptly updated
- Revise payroll procedures as needed and communicate any changes to the HR and Finance teams
- Verify the accuracy of monthly payroll reports and ensure proper approval
- Maintain standardised documentation for audit compliance to mitigate potential risks
- Ensure statutory payments are properly documented and processed in accordance with legal requirements
- Act as the primary liaison between the HR department and other teams on payroll and budgetary matters
- Provide the Finance team with monthly reports comparing payroll budgets to actual costs
- Prepare monthly payroll forecasts and budgets
- Ensure timely payment of employees
- Conduct reconciliations between payroll data and the general ledger
- Strong understanding of reward and benefits, including payroll management, tax, pension, SSP, SMP procedures, legislation, and calculations
- Extensive experience in payroll, ideally supported by a relevant qualification
- Advanced IT skills, particularly in Excel and formula creation
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- A positive and adaptable attitude, committed to delivering high standards in a fast-paced environment
