Senior Scientist Job Description

The Senior Scientist will play a key role in supporting the Vector Analytical Development function at Adaptimmune.

Job Responsibilities

The Senior Scientist will be responsible for designing and executing analytical development projects to advance our understanding of lentiviral vector products.

This involves running analytical assays to support company objectives. The job holder will work independently on experimental planning and execution, analysis, and interpretation.

However, they may require scientific guidance from senior colleagues. The Senior Scientist will collaborate with other departments to support company objectives.

They will participate in group and project meetings, contribute to routine lab maintenance, and take ownership of assay performance and ongoing maintenance.

Key Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need a degree in Life Sciences or a related discipline.

You should have substantial post-graduate experience, preferably in an industry setting. Relevant experience in viral vector analytics and analytical development is essential.

You must be able to work independently on routine experiments and learn to work independently on complex experiments within a reasonable time frame.

Experience of Tech Transferring assays to third parties, working to GMP requirements, and preparing documents for regulatory submissions is desirable.

Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this position is between $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
