This position is remote based, but you'll need to travel to client sites across the Midlands and attend occasional meetings at our headquarters in Manchester.
The Role:
As a Relationship Manager, you'll have the exciting opportunity to build, manage, and develop a portfolio of lending clients. You'll be an ambassador for our bank, delivering excellent customer service and creating and building relationships.
Key Accountabilities:
- Forge strong links in the local business community to create awareness of our values and services.
- Maintain and manage relationships with an assigned customer portfolio to ensure high satisfaction and maximise business return.
- Develop a strong working knowledge of customer portfolios and product features to understand and meet their needs.
- Ensure compliance with corporate, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead by example in accordance with our Risk Management Framework, Risk Appetite, and ethical policy.
- High-level credit skills to negotiate and manage credit applications.
- Lead the development of operational policies and procedures.
- Be an ambassador for our bank and SME Banking at internal and external forums.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service ethic.
- Foundation credit skills in a commercial lending environment.
- Strong negotiation and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage risk and travel to customer locations.
