About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mechanical Engineering graduate to join our team at Laser Prototypes (Europe) in partnership with Queen's University Belfast Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre.
As a KTP Application Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering a project to enhance our Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) capabilities to meet the exacting standards of aerospace production.
With three decades of experience in additive manufacturing services, we have established ourselves as a reputable contract manufacturer. Our growth strategy aims to transition into aerospace production, leveraging our expertise in DMLS and CNC post machining.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to work closely between academia and industry, developing your skills to run and manage projects. You will have access to a substantial development budget and the support and guidance of Queen's world-class academics and researchers.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you must have a strong academic background in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering or a closely related discipline. You should also have completion of a relevant research project or student placement, and a high level of numeracy and the ability to interpret data.
