The estimated salary for this position is £6,422.00 - £6,662.00 per annum (Actual), based on NJC Grade B.



Job Description


We are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to join a committed, supportive and hardworking team who work together to provide a caring, inclusive environment where there is a strong ethos of achievement for all.



This post is initially to work within our Communication and Interaction Resource Base. The successful candidate will support learning and deliver interventions either in small groups or on a 1-1 basis, following specific plans. You will also be required to assist in recording pupil assessments and providing general classroom support.



Required Skills and Qualifications


Suitable candidates will have a very good standard of English and maths, have excellent communication skills, be able to use their initiative and be computer literate. Additionally, candidates will have a very good understanding of inclusion and be able to sensitively support children with communication, interaction and learning needs.



The successful candidate will need:



  • Excellent communication skills with a high standard of spoken and written English
  • Excellent mathematical understanding
  • Successful experience of working in a primary school with children who have a variety of needs, particularly Autism
  • A commitment to supporting pupils in ensuring the achievement of high standards
  • A flexible, hard-working disposition with excellent initiative
  • A willingness to be part of a team, and to be involved in the wider aspects of school life
