The Job
We are seeking a Personal Assistant to support a lady in her late 70s with early onset Alzheimer's and Dementia and who is blind. The successful candidate will require patience and understanding to form a good relationship and gain the lady's trust.
The role involves supporting the lady with everyday activities, including taking prescribed medications, preparing and ensuring she eats breakfast and lunch, and supporting with bathing if requested. The successful candidate will also be required to take the lady to local activities and coffee mornings to enable her to enjoy her social activities.
We are looking for someone who holds a full clean driving licence and is able to communicate effectively with the lady, who is fluent in Polish. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive difference in someone's life.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the lady with everyday activities, including personal care and medication management
- Assist with preparing and eating meals
- Accompany the lady to local activities and coffee mornings
- Communicate effectively with the lady and her family
