About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a key member of our SEN school setting, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with challenging behavior and special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with challenging behavior and SEND on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Manage challenging behavior in a positive and consistent manner
  • Build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Engage with students and support their learning in a hands-on approach
  • Collaborate with Class Teachers and other Teaching Assistants to ensure students receive the best possible educational experience
Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service)
  • Ability to build positive relationships and rapport with students and staff
  • Resilient, proactive, and positive nature
  • Experience in classrooms supporting students
  • High levels of enthusiasm, energy, and positivity when working with students
  • Genuine passion for helping young people fulfill their potential and flourish in education
