About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team of Patient Transport Service (PTS) volunteers. As a PTS volunteer, you will play a vital role in helping NHS patients in your region by providing non-emergency transport to and from hospitals and other healthcare settings.

Main Responsibilities

As a PTS volunteer, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing non-emergency transport for patients who are able to walk but may need assistance
  • Transporting patients to and from hospitals and other healthcare settings
  • Assisting patients with their luggage and providing support as needed

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • Be 18 years old or over
  • Hold a valid, full UK driving licence with no more than three penalty points
  • Have access to a car with four or more doors
  • Have access to the internet and email
  • Be willing to take part in all stages of the recruitment process
  • Be a good communicator
