We are seeking a reliable Transport Support Assistant to work in Scunthorpe and surrounding areas, escorting pupils with special needs to schools and colleges.

Split shifts will accommodate transport from home to school in the morning and from school to home in the afternoon, during school term time only.

Candidates will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of the pupil's needs and abilities, and communicate with empathy.

Experience of care work is desirable, as children may need support during transport.

The successful candidate will work flexible hours to accommodate the needs of the service, escorting pupils in minibuses and taxis.

Hours may vary due to different routes, passenger numbers, and traffic conditions.

The successful candidate will undertake necessary training required for the post.

Working as a team is expected in this role.
