Lean Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Lean Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Futures, a leading volume manufacturing business based near Wakefield. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for improving our production techniques to increase quality and repeatability.
Key Accountabilities:- Work with production teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance overall efficiency.
- Develop and maintain tooling aids to streamline the manufacturing process.
- Provide expert guidance on production engineering matters to the quality, production, maintenance, and design departments.
- Proven experience in fast-moving high volume component manufacturing (plastic, glass, electronics, food, automotive, etc.).
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- HND/Degree qualified in Production or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex ideas clearly.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of production engineering, including layout, continuous flow, SMED, CAPEX, planning, capacity modeling/simulation, and costing. Six Sigma training is preferred but not essential. We offer a competitive salary of £42,000 - £62,000 per annum, depending on experience.
