About the Role

Reactive Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Assessment Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with applicants to the Troubles Permanent Disablement Payment Scheme to determine their level of permanent disablement caused by a Troubles Related Incident(s).

As a Mental Health Assessment Specialist, you will be responsible for undertaking clinical functional assessments, gathering relevant information, and compiling comprehensive reports to support the Victims Payments Board in its decision-making process.

We are looking for a fully registered social worker with a minimum of 4 years' experience, who has a demonstrable background in a Mental Health/Psychiatric specialty. You must be able to work at pace, set boundaries, manage conversations, and keep to timescales.

The estimated salary for this role is £38,500-£41,400 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive basic salary, career pathway programme, and a range of benefits including 25 days holiday, NISCC fee reimbursement, and access to an Employee Assistance Programme.

Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake clinical functional assessments for applicants to the Troubles Permanent Disablement Payment Scheme
- Gather relevant information from applicants and other healthcare professionals as required
- Compile comprehensive reports to support the Victims Payments Board in its decision-making process
- Develop strong relationships with applicants and other stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes

Requirements:
- Fully registered social worker with a minimum of 4 years' experience
- Demonstrable background in a Mental Health/Psychiatric specialty
- Ability to work at pace, set boundaries, manage conversations, and keep to timescales
- Strong analytical skills and ability to deal with a high volume of work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
