In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilize your skills and expertise to conduct clinical functional assessments for applicants to the Troubles Permanent Disablement Payment Scheme (TPDPS).

About the Role

This is a full-time position with a minimum contracted hours of 30 hours per week and a maximum of 37.5 hours per week. You will work closely with our client to provide expert clinical assessment services, utilizing your skills in mental health and psychiatry to determine the level of permanent disablement caused by a Troubles-Related Incident(s). In addition to your technical expertise, we are looking for candidates who possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct clinical functional assessments for TPDPS applicants
  • Review medical evidence and gather additional information as needed
  • Compile comprehensive reports to support the Victims Payments Board's decision-making process
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A fully registered social worker with a minimum of 4 years' experience
  • Fully registered without sanction or conditions of practice with NISCC with a valid PIN
  • A valid full driving license and access to a car
  • A demonstrable background in mental health/psychiatric specialty
  • Ability to work at pace, set boundaries, manage conversations, and keep to timescales
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
