Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Orion Electrotech. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for driving innovation and technical development in the design and development of high-tech products.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop cutting-edge designs for complex hydraulic and electrical systems, ensuring all technical and quality standards are met.
- Conduct detailed technical investigations, evaluate options, perform supporting calculations, and prepare comprehensive reports with actionable recommendations.
- Create technical drawings, general assembly diagrams, and bills of materials to support the engineering process.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and contribute to the continuous improvement of our engineering practices.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative environment where they can thrive and grow.
- Analyse and communicate project risks and technical challenges, providing clear feedback to the Program Team.
- Support patent writing and ensure the overall system design complies with intrinsic safety and regulatory standards.
- Advanced mechanical engineering skills, with a solid foundation in theoretical and analytical design principles.
- Experience leading engineering development tasks and influencing the work of other engineers.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidEdge experience is a plus, but not required).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical details to non-technical audiences.
- A collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
