Senior Mechanical Engineer

At Instron, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to drive technical development and innovation within our project team and the wider business.
The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects, including developing and supporting high-technology products. They will be responsible for producing designs in-line with requirements and quality standards for complex systems, performing technical investigations, and preparing reports for company leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement technical solutions for complex mechanical systems
- Lead technical investigations and prepare reports for company leadership
- Collaborate with Engineering Managers and Principal Engineers to manage technical projects
- Provide technical mentoring to less experienced Engineers
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments
Requirements:
- Advanced mechanical engineering skills with proven competence
- Ability to lead engineering development tasks and influence the work of other Engineers
- Good experience with CAD packages
- Ability to communicate technical details effectively
