Job Description

We are seeking a Speech & Language Therapist to join our therapy team. The successful candidate will work closely with our therapists and other professionals to provide support to students with autism and associated learning difficulties.

Main Duties and Expectations:

  • You will receive and respond promptly to referrals, undertaking initial assessments to establish the scope, level, and nature of the individual young person's therapeutic and mental health needs.
  • You will lead and facilitate group and/or individual therapy sessions, short and long-term, ensuring interventions continue to meet the needs of the YP and are consistent with the provisions detailed in their therapy plan.
  • You will manage, monitor, and review an assigned caseload, ensuring delivery within the agreed timescales.
  • Ability to work independently and with previous experience of working with young people with ASD, preferably within an education setting, is essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience of working with young people with autism and associated learning difficulties.
