Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at United Living. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the financial and contractual administration of projects, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and negotiate subcontract agreements, ensuring the best possible terms for the company.
  • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring that they are within budget and that any variances are identified and addressed promptly.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure that all contractual and financial aspects of the project are properly managed.
  • Provide commercial advice to the project team, ensuring that they are aware of their contractual obligations and responsibilities.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of claims and variations, ensuring that they are properly documented and supported.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the service provided.
Requirements:
  • 10 years' experience in quantity surveying or a related field.
  • Professional qualification in quantity surveying or a related field (MRICS or MCIOB desirable).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex commercial and contractual issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
