Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nutrition Specialist. The successful candidate will provide specialist clinical care, support, and advice to patients requiring enteral and parenteral nutrition support.

Main Responsibilities

1. Provide specialist clinical care and support to patients requiring enteral and parenteral nutrition support.

2. Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, carers, and families to provide a warm, welcoming, and enabling environment to support therapeutic relationships.

3. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing care, adjusting programmes as necessary, while maintaining the health, safety, and security of self and others in the work area.

4. Contribute to the development of services, quality improvement, and patient care.

5. Support patients, carers, and staff in promoting equality, diversity, and rights.

6. Lead others in the development of knowledge, ideas, and work practice.

7. Plan, allocate, assess, and provide feedback to team members.

8. Maintain and support the efficient use of physical and/or financial resources.

9. Practice in accordance with the professional, ethical, and legal framework for nursing.

Requirements

This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as a Registered Nurse or Midwife in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC Pin within the next 2-3 months. Please note that an NMC PRN Pin is not a full NMC Pin and would not fulfill the essential criteria for this role.

We can no longer accept applications from International Nurses and Midwives who are yet to complete all competencies needed to receive a full NMC PIN to practice in the UK as we have paused our OSCE programme indefinitely.
