We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Tutor to join our team at AE Talent Solutions LTD. As an English Tutor, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their personal and professional lives.

Job Summary:

As an English Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality English language training to learners in a prison-based setting. You will work closely with learners to identify their individual needs and develop tailored learning plans that cater to their goals and aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver functional Skills English up to level 2 to small groups of learners, focusing on developing their skills, knowledge, and behaviours.
  • Identify individual learner needs and create personalized learning plans that align with their long-term employment goals.
  • Continuously review learner progression to ensure that training meets their identified needs.
  • Prepare, deliver, and review comprehensive lesson plans that address the training needs of the group, including basic literacy, numeracy, language, and social/employability barriers to employment.
  • Actively gather feedback from learners and other sources, reviewing and improving curriculum content accordingly.
  • Meet contractual KPIs for success and performance.

Requirements:

  • Maths and English Level 2 needed for Vocational Tutors and Level 3 needed for Functional Skills Tutors.
  • Full teaching qualification at Level 5 or above or equivalent.
  • Ability to undertake a DBS or DS check or Prison Security Clearance where applicable and provide proof of Right to Work in the UK.
