Senior Storage Engineer - Contract

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Storage Engineer to join our team at Arcus Search. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing, deploying, and supporting high-performance storage systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and deployment of high-performance storage systems, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with our platform architecture
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback, drive improvements, and enhance platform usability and security
  • Manage storage capacity planning, ensuring scalability and efficiency, while overseeing data management, backup, and recovery strategies
  • Implement strong security practices and ensure system integrity through proactive measures
  • Stay updated on storage technologies and mentor junior team members

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience with storage systems (VAST, Isilon), and leading technical projects
  • Expert Python programming for automation and integration, plus experience in Go and Bash
  • Proficient with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, ArgoCD), configuration management (Ansible, Terraform), and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Solid understanding of Linux, networking, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
