About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pain Management Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team in the North West Pain Services. As a Pain Management Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient-centred care to individuals with chronic pain, working closely with a team of physiotherapists, nurses, and wellbeing practitioners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnoses of patients with a wide range of physical and emotional needs.
  • Formulate, deliver, review, and progress individual treatment programmes to ensure effective treatment and timely discharge.
  • Provide specialist advice and support to patients, families, and carers.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans that meet the needs of patients with chronic pain.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practice and national guidelines in pain management, and apply this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.

Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Pain Management Nurse who possesses the following qualities and qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. pain management, nursing, physiotherapy).
  • Experience in pain management, preferably in a multidisciplinary team setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and carers.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centred care.
