Job Title: Transport Planner Professional

At Access Talent Group, we are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing transportation plans and strategies for various civil engineering projects.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and a high standard of work ethic to contribute to our team's success. The ideal candidate should have formal education in Transport Engineering, Geography, or Transport Planning, along with experience in development-focused Transport Planning.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £42,000 per annum, based on national standards and industry benchmarks. This role is a permanent contract, located in Yorkshire.

About the Role:

  • Design and implement transportation plans and strategies for civil engineering projects
  • Conduct site access appraisals and prepare transport notes, statements, and assessments
  • Develop an understanding of relevant local and national policy and guidance
  • Model junction capacity using ARCADY and PICADY software
  • Design traffic signals using LinSig software
  • Preliminary design access, junction improvements, and highway schemes using AutoCAD
  • Analyze swept path data using AutoTrack software
  • Prepare high-quality graphics using GIS packages or Corel Draw
  • Engage in project management and client communication
  • Assist in preparing client briefs and fee proposals

Candidate Profile:

  • Formal education in Transport Engineering, Geography, or Transport Planning
  • Experience in development-focused Transport Planning
  • Member or aspiring member of a professional organization
  • Excellent communication and work ethic skills
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work proactively
