Podiatrist Specialist

The Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Podiatrist to join our team in the MSK service. As a specialist practitioner, you will be responsible for assessing and diagnosing patients with musculoskeletal conditions, including rheumatoid and diabetic foot. You will work closely with our team to provide comprehensive care and develop your skills in plain view interpretation, cortico-steroid injection therapy, and other specialist interventions.
Main DutiesAs a Podiatrist in our MSK service, you will be responsible for:
- Undertaking clinical assessments, including neurological, vascular, and pathological investigations
- Developing and implementing treatment plans, including specialist footwear and ankle/foot orthosis
- Working closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
- Participating in service development and quality improvement initiatives

Person SpecificationWe are looking for a Podiatrist with:
- Professional knowledge and qualifications in podiatry
- Experience in musculoskeletal and diabetic foot care
- Skills in specialist interventions, including cortico-steroid injection therapy
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
We welcome applications from Welsh speakers and those who are willing to learn. The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable, but not essential.
