Job Title: Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor to join our team at Marmion. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving technical and cultural safety processes within our global FMCG manufacturer in Harrogate.

  • Degree in Environmental, Safety, Engineering, or related field.
  • Demonstrable experience in a plant/production environment; preferably within FMCG/Food.
  • Waste Management expertise.
  • Strong training identification and delivery skills.

This is a manufacturing business with impressive growth plans that this individual will play a key part in. As such, we are looking for a Health, Safety, and Environment Advisor to drive a culture of safety within this facility. Establishing a safe environment, engaging with all areas of the business, and promoting technical and cultural safety processes are key to this role and we are looking to speak to candidates that can demonstrate previous success in a similar environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a safe and compliant working environment, in line with legal and EHS requirements.
  • Lead and develop a culture of safety across the facility.
  • Partner with all site teams to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation and standards.
  • Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and lead HSE audits.
  • Develop a culture of safety engagement and communicate successes across the business.
  • Oversee COSHH manual management and submission of data for compliance.
  • Conduct EHS inspections and audits, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Review and align policies, procedures, and documentation with management systems.
  • Collaborate with the Health & Safety Network to ensure compliance with company policy.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs.
