Maintenance Technician

Randox Laboratories is a leading innovator in the Diagnostics and Healthcare sector, recognized as the Number 1 company in Northern Ireland. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance/Manufacturing Department.
Job Summary:This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. The successful candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and repair, with experience in electrical and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out planned preventive maintenance on all process machinery and equipment.
- Assist with validation on current and new equipment.
- Maintain technical documentation, including specifications, design drawings, and reports.
- Identify repeat failures and implement continuous improvement projects to improve performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Carry out risk assessments and method statements to ensure all work is carried out within H&S Regulations.
- Maintain and support tasks on high-speed automated equipment, including state-of-the-art filling, capping, and labeling equipment.
- Review and update critical spares.
- Train and mentor others as part of continuous improvement.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply information from files, drawings, catalogues, reports, and manuals.
- Experience with motor control systems, process controls, pneumatics, and PLC/PC control systems.
- Knowledge and experience of preventative maintenance practices.
- Current driving license.
- Experience of similar process machinery (filling, capping, labeling, and printing).
- Experience in a CGMP environment.
- HNC or higher in engineering.
