Job Title: Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at a specialist, precision manufacturer with sites located across the globe. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant, equipment, and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair equipment faults in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic disciplines.
  • Prioritize work and effect repairs as necessary, seeking technical assistance from suppliers or manufacturers when required.
  • Identify and requisition components required for repairs, including part numbers and prices.
  • Plan and assist with the installation of new or relocated equipment, including the provision of services.
  • Carry out routine and periodic inspections of plant and equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Ensure safe working procedures are maintained at all times and train other personnel as required.
  • Liaise with outside contractors on site, carry out risk assessments, and issue permits to work as necessary.
  • Make recommendations on new equipment or improvements to design.
Requirements:
  • Time served apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years post-apprenticeship experience in a modern machine shop.
  • Experience working with CNC Turning & Milling Multi-Axis Machines.
  • Ability to work safely and with little supervision.
  • Good communication and decision-making skills.
  • Results-focused self-starter with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proven track record of meeting targets and deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
What We Offer:

A highly attractive shift pattern on days (Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 16:30 + early finish Friday 08:00 - 13:00) and a strong hourly rate of £18.95.
